Mrs. Aiello
Our first week of school went very well.  The 2nd graders were so well behaved and
seemed very happy to be back at school.  I think this is going to be a wonderful year!

This week we begin full days of school, with dismissal at 3:05 PM.  Any child still in the classroom at 3:15 will be sent to daycare.  Please be prompt when picking up your
child.  Also, if your child is going home with someone other than the usual person,
please email me or send a note so that I am aware of the change.  Thank you.

Our wonderful hot lunch program begins Tuesday.  In 2nd grade, I ask the children who
are getting hot lunch to stand and I write their names down.  Then I read the names
again to make sure I have an accurate count of those getting hot lunch.  And, of course, they may check their backpacks to check to see if they have a lunch or not.
If you are bringing your child's sack lunch later in the morning, please leave it on the
cart by the front office.

2nd grade's PE days are Monday and Tuesday.  Students may wear their PE uniforms
to school on those days.  PE is in the afternoons on both days.

Thursday is Back to School Night.  It begins at 7:00 PM in the school hall with some
brief announcements.  Then parents will be able to go to the classrooms.  The
teachers will have about 30 minutes to talk to the parents, with a second session for
those who have children in different grades.  I look forward to seeing all of you on
Thursday.

There is Mass on Friday at 9:30 AM.  Please join the school in celebrating the
Eucharist each week.  Parents are always welcome!  Don't forget - Mass uniforms on
Friday.

Our Star of the Week for this week is Isabel.  She will be sharing all about herself
on Friday.
