10 HOURS OF REQUIRED SERVICE FOR PLAYGROUND SUPERVISION
Parents are encouraged to help with the supervision of the students before school, during morning recess, and at lunch recess. Each La Purisima Catholic School family is required to contribute 10 hours per year (1 hour each month September-June) as a playground supervisor. One hour of credit will be given for lunch supervision, twenty minutes of credit will be given for before school supervision, and a half hour of credit will be given for morning recess supervision. Any family who accumulates more than the required number of hours will be given a tuition credit of $10.00 per hour towards the family's tuition for each hour of playground supervision. A family may choose to pay a one-time fee of $200 to "buy-out" of playground supervision. The $200 fee will be used to help pay for additional playground supervision when there is a shortage of supervisors available.
